The 2nd “INTERNSHIP” (training) program for officials of diaspora institutions from the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States launched

Officials of diaspora institutions from the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States are visiting our country to participate in the 2nd “INTERNSHIP” (training) program.

As part of the visit, guests visited the Alley of Honor, the Alley of Martyrs, and Victory Park.

At the Alley of Honor, they put flowers at the graves of the prominent statesman, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and respectfully commemorated their cherished memory.

At the Alley of Martyrs, the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s independence and territorial integrity was commemorated.

The guests who visited Victory Park, put flower bouquets on the memorial stone.

The opening ceremony of training program was held at the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Valeh Hajiyev greeted the guests. He provided detailed information about the multifaceted diaspora policy implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the establishment of the Organization of Turkic States, and the work of the Committee.  He emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening and expanding cooperation among institutions. Valeh Hajiyev concluded his speech by quoting National Leader Heydar Aliyev: “For every person, their national identity is a source of pride.”

Afterwards, presentations were delivered highlighting the activities of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund.

Alibek Jurkadam Vice President of Kazakhstan’s “Otandastar” Foundation, Sardor Maxamadiyev representative of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilşad Şenol First Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ömer Seyithanoğlu representative of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities of the Republic of Türkiye, and Daniel Gazso researcher at the Research Institute for Hungarian Communities Abroad, delivered speeches. In their remarks, they spoke about the diaspora policies of their respective countries and the ongoing efforts in this area, emphasizing the importance of unity in the Turkic world and strengthening cooperation among diaspora communities.

Following the event, the participants of the internship program departed for Shusha and Khankendi.
