Azeri Youth Organization, operating in Latvia held an event dedicated to Victory Day at the Riga Technical University.

“Victory Meeting” was held with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. The event began with a minute’s silence, as a mark of respect to the dear memory of martyrs, who died for the territorial integrity of our country.

Then, Amil Salimov, deputy of the Latvian Saeima, head of the Azeri Youth Organization, diaspora activist made a speech. It was spoken about the 44-day Patriotic War, the heroism of the sons of Azerbaijan, and the brilliant victory under the leadership of of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

In the continuation of the event, a film about the 44-day Patriotic War was shown. It  was given information  about Shusha, and images of Shusha after its liberation from the occupation were screened.

Our compatriots Malik Alakbarov and Aygun Asadova performed Azerbaijani dance “Uzundara”.
