Our national heritage at Fayetteville festival

Azerbaijan was represented at the 47th “Traditional International Peoples Festival” held in Fayetteville, North Carolina. During the presentation initiated and organized by Adika Iqbal, the head of the Azerbaijani Friendship Organization based in the state, Azerbaijani culture and national heritage were introduced to a wide audience.
The members of Azerbaijani community living in the state actively participated in the event. The visitors met the Azerbaijani national costumes, stage performances, and traditional music showcased during the festival, with great enthusiasm.
One of the most memorable moments of the festival was the dance performance by Lale Bagirzade, a South Azerbaijani cultural figure based in the United States. Her dance skills beautifully conveyed the delicacy and aesthetic power of Azerbaijani culture on stage. Additionally, the “Yallı” dance performed by the organization’s members sparked great enthusiasm among the audience. The colorful national costumes and rhythmic movements showcased the richness and unity of Azerbaijani culture.
The leadership of the Azerbaijan Friendship Organization stated that the main purpose of participating in the festival is to promote Azerbaijani culture, build bridges of friendship among peoples, and strengthen solidarity among community members. “We are proud to share our culture, traditions, and joy with the local community,” the organization’s representatives said.
The Azerbaijan Friendship Organization has been implementing various projects in the USA for many years with the aim of promoting Azerbaijan and preserving our cultural heritage.
It should be noted that the "Traditional International Peoples Festival" is an annual event that brings together the cultures of various peoples and promotes friendship and cultural diversity.
