Niagara Falls, the world-famous natural landmark located between the United States and Canada, was illuminated in the colours of the Azerbaijani flag on the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day.

The illumination ceremony was organized by the “Vatan” Azerbaijani Arts and Culture Centre operating in Canada with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijanis living in Canada watched the ceremony with great joy and enthusiasm, while waving Azerbaijani flags. Accompanied by the sounds of Azerbaijani national music, they danced and shared their festive spirit with visitors who were taking photographs against the breath-taking backdrop of the illuminated falls.

The event attracted the attention of local residents and tourists in the area. Those interested in the initiative were provided with information about Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.
