The international forum titled “The Caspian Macroregion: The Architecture of Political Partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan”, held in Aktau, Kazakhstan, concluded its work with a series of panel discussions.

The panels focused on the prospects for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan across the political, legal, transport, and humanitarian spheres, as well as on ways to strengthen interaction across the Caspian region.

The panel sessions were moderated by experts Eldar Jafarov, Emin Jabbarov, Elvin Talishinski, and Orkhan Yolchuyev.

The first panel, titled “Legal Foundations of Integration,” featured an exchange of views on the geopolitical significance of the Caspian Sea, the role of universities in promoting legal culture and public diplomacy, and issues related to the environmental security of the Caspian Sea in the context of the development of the Middle Corridor.

The second panel, “Transport Diplomacy and the Middle Corridor,” featured discussions on the geopolitical significance of the Caspian Sea, the role of transport diplomacy in regional cooperation, and the contribution of the Middle Corridor to strengthening connectivity between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

The third panel was devoted to “The Role of the Diaspora and Public Diplomacy in Strengthening Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan Relations.” Participants highlighted issues related to information and cultural diplomacy, the role of the diaspora, the shared historical and cultural values of the two countries, and the development of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.

At the conclusion of the forum, participants were presented the certificates.

It should be noted that the event was organized by the Yessenov Caspian University of Technology and Engineering and the Azerbaijan Centre Public Foundation, with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Aktau.
