The number of youth learning the Azerbaijani language increases in Egypt

After the establishment of Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, the number of people learning Azerbaijani language is increasing day by day. Teaching our language is one of the key points of promoting Azerbaijan in the world nowadays, stated Seymour Nasirov, the chairman of the Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society. Beside being a researcher - scientist and coordinator of the Coordinating Council of Azerbaijanis for Arab countries in Egypt, Seymour Nasirov has also been teaching the Azerbaijani language in Cairo for many years.

Seymour Nasirov noted that this year 92 more people had applied to the Azerbaijani language courses operating under Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society.

New attendees of the Azerbaijani language courses came together in the building of the Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society. The youth expressed great interest and satisfaction towards the Azerbaijani language and literature. The meeting focused on the development of the relations between the two friendly countries and the contribution of Azerbaijanis to the development of Arab culture.

It should be noted that this year Friendship Society has organized a series of events on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijan. The participants of the meeting also discussed the competitions held on the topics such as Arabic calligraphy, history and prominent figures of Azerbaijan, and memorization of the Holy Quran.

Seymour Nasirov has added that the winners of the competitions are planned to visit Azerbaijan with the support of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that more than 500 young people from 55 countries profit by free courses operating under the Egypt-Azerbaijan Friendship Society for free.
