Fuad Muradov Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora received Matlab Najafov, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional diaspora organization of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine.

Committee Chairman emphasized that Azerbaijani community abroad remain under the close attention of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva. He highly appreciated active integration of our compatriots into local society, and the diaspora’s active role in promoting Azerbaijan’s realities, and its rich cultural heritage and national culture. He noted the significant role of the diaspora in developing of bilateral relations between the two countries and conveyed his recommendations regarding future activities.

Then, Matlab Najafov was awarded the “For Service in Diaspora Activities” medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Our compatriot expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the high appreciation of his activities. He pledged to continue making every effort to further strengthen bilateral relations, ensuring more organized diaspora activities in the future.

It should be noted that Matlab Najafov has led the Ivano-Frankivsk regional diaspora organization of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine since 2000. He provided support to many compatriots during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
