Chairman of the State Committee meets with Azerbaijani cultural figures

Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fuad Muradov, has met with Azerbaijani compatriot living in Germany, People's Artist Ashraf Heybatov, and Azerbaijani musician based in Ireland, Chairman of the Azerbaijan–Ireland Cultural Association, Ashraf Taghiyev.
The meeting featured a broad exchange of views on promoting Azerbaijani culture in Germany and Ireland, preserving and promoting national and moral values, supporting the activities of Azerbaijani compatriots abroad in this field, and implementing future cultural and diaspora projects.
Welcoming the guests, the Chairman of the State Committee emphasized that Azerbaijani communities abroad have always been surrounded by the special attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva. He highly praised the commitment of Azerbaijanis living abroad to the ideology of Azerbaijanism and national values, as well as their efforts to promote the rich and ancient culture of the Azerbaijani people. He also noted that the activities of Azerbaijani cultural figures make a significant contribution to strengthening the country's positive image and enhancing diaspora activities.
The meeting also highlighted the successful results of cooperation with Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in more than 70 countries around the world, aimed at preserving the national and cultural identity of Azerbaijanis living abroad and bringing them together on a unified platform.
The guests thanked the Chairman for the warm welcome and stated that they would continue their efforts to preserve the national identity of Azerbaijanis living abroad, promote Azerbaijan's culture, arts, and rich historical heritage among European audiences, and further enhance the effectiveness of diaspora activities. They stressed the importance of making effective use of cultural diplomacy in conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the international community and expressed their appreciation to the Azerbaijani state for its continued attention and support to compatriots abroad.
The meeting continued with discussions on opportunities for cooperation in promoting Azerbaijani culture more broadly across Europe, encouraging the active involvement of young people in diaspora activities, advancing cultural diplomacy, and implementing future joint projects.
