Bishkek hosted a scientific-practical conference entitled "Our language is our national wealth" held in accordance with the activity plan of the events to be held in the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev".

Representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh), the Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, the Kyrgyz People's Assembly, Chingiz Aytmatov Foundation,  as well as Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz scientists  and members  of the Azerbaijani diaspora attended the conference held with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the joint organization of "Irs" Public Union and the National Commission for State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

State Anthem of Azerbaijan was performed, the dear memory of Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a minute of silence at the event.

Kanybek Osmonaliyev, chairman of the National Commission for State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, delivered opening speech. He reminded Heydar Aliyev’s participation in the events dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of “Epic of Manas”. Kanybek Osmonaliyev underlined that Heydar Aliyev’s thoughts -"We will help each other, we will move forward together on the path set by the great Manas" should not been forgotten.

Then, a video depicting the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev was screened. Speaking at the conference, Fuad Muradov, the chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, has reminded that this year, according to the relevant Decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was declared the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in our country. “Heydar Aliyev was the greatest defender of our national culture, language, religion, and national-spiritual values, carried out targeted and consistent policy on the promotion of the national language since the late 1960s during the Soviet era. Giving the Azerbaijani language the status of the state language is one of the historical services of the Great Leader”-told Fuad Muradov.

Then, Deputy Head of the Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Professor Oktyabr Kapalbayev, Chairman of the Kyrgyz People's Assembly Almanbet Matubraimov, former speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament, Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the Council of Elders, member of the Council of Elders under the Organization of Turkic States Prof. Dr. Medetkan Sherimkulov, PM-s Arslanbek Maliyev and Nurjigit Kadyrbekov, academicians of the Kyrgyz National Academy Abdyljan Akmataliyev and Syrtbay Musayev, director of the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, doctor of Science in philology, professor Sevinc Aliyeva, chairman of the Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Cooperation Society Akif Alaferdov , president of the "Chingiz Aytmatov Issyk-Kul Forum" Public Union, son of a well-known diplomat, writer Asgar Aytmatov, chairman of the "Heritage" Public Union Khansivar Bakhshaliyev, department heads of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Arkarbek Mamytov and Altin spoke to Tursunbekov.

Emphasizing that Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are connected by common historical roots, cultural traditions spiritual and moral values, the speakers shared their fond memories of Heydar Aliyev. They appreciated his unparalleled services for the interests of the Azerbaijani people and the Turkic world.

The Committee chairman presented the book "Heydar Aliyev's favorite musical pearls" containing the great leader's favorite songs,  to Medetkan Sherimkulov, former Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament, Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The chairman of the commission noted with satisfaction that a series of events were held with the Azerbaijani diaspora based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and he shared his good impressions about his visit to the city of Shusha, our cultural capital.

Within the framework of the visit, F. Muradov had a meeting with Kanybek Osmonaliev, the chairman of the National Commission for State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting, the guest was given detailed information about the activity directions of the commission. It has been emphisized currently, Kyrgyzistan has two offical languages ​​(Kyrgyz and Russian) and it was reported that a new law is drafted to change the situation.

It was noted that more than 20 Azerbaijani Houses were established accross the world based on the instructions and support of our head of state for the promotion of our native language, and Azerbaijani weekend schools are successfully operating under these houses. It was stated that 10 more Azerbaijan Houses are planned to be opened  in foreign countries in 2024.

The meeting ended with an exchange of views on cooperation prospects and the mutual presentation of souvenirs.
