Azerbaijani-British professionals gather to discuss artificial intelligence

A conference titled “AI and Beyond: Transforming healthcare, engineering, and science through Azerbaijani - British collaboration,” organized by the Association of Azerbaijani-British Professionals (AAPB) with the support of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, was held in London, the United Kingdom.
The conference was attended by the representatives of “NICE”, “Imperial College London”, “King’s College London”, “Halliburton”, “UCLH NHS” and other international institutions, as well as Malahat Sultanova, the Vice-Rector at Azerbaijan Medical University.
Ilhama Jafarli, founder and chairperson of Association of Azerbaijani-British Professionals and a paediatric surgeon, stated that artificial intelligence technologies have made a significant contribution to the formation of innovative approaches in healthcare, engineering, and scientific research.
In his speech, former Lord Mayor of the City of London, David Wootton, touched upon the main objectives of the conference and highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation between Azerbaijani and British professionals.
Conference continued with panel discussions. Experts representing leading universities, research centres, and technology companies from the United Kingdom and Europe engaged in extensive discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence on diagnostic and treatment processes in healthcare, data-driven innovations in engineering and science, as well as the future prospects of digital technologies.
Within the framework of the event, memoranda of cooperation were signed between the Azerbaijan–UK Professional Bridge (AABP), the Association of Azerbaijani Medical Professionals in Germany (AMD), and Universal Hospital. These documents aim to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of healthcare and scientific research.
At the conclusion of the event, participants and partners who distinguished themselves in various fields were awarded, and individuals who contributed to the successful organization of the event were honoured.
