Germany hosts solemn event dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day

A solemn event dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day was held in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event, titled “Echo of the Skies” brought together hundreds of compatriots as well as representatives of the local community. Participants watched with great interest a video presentation devoted to this important milestone in Azerbaijan’s history, featuring speeches by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev.
“Prominent statesman and National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the architect of modern Azerbaijan. Thanks to the political will of President Ilham Aliyev, our state has become even stronger, and our lands have been liberated from occupation. Today, we are a victorious nation, and our compatriots abroad take pride in a strong Azerbaijan,” said Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during his address at the event.
Altay Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, spoke about the historical significance of June 15 – National Salvation Day and the role of Azerbaijani communities abroad in informing the international public about the modern history of Azerbaijan.
The musical part of the event left a lasting impression on the audience. The concert program featured works by Azerbaijani and international composers. Sabina Mammadova, Marziya Huseynova, Mehman Nuriyev, Sadiq Aghamaliyev, Minija Hajizada, Humay Hajizada, Valleys Schmidt, Savaş Nart, Beyza Doğan, and members of the children’s choir of the “Mugham” German-Azerbaijani Music Society delivered memorable performances that delighted the audience.
Participants particularly emphasized the high level of organization of this magnificent cultural event dedicated to National Salvation Day, noting that it made a significant contribution to promoting important chapters of Azerbaijan’s history, national and spiritual values, and traditions of statehood among compatriots living abroad as well as the local community. The attendees also expressed their deep gratitude to the organizers and everyone who contributed to making the event possible.
The event, moderated by Sabina Mammadova, was organized by the “Mugham” German-Azerbaijani Music Society based in Düsseldorf and the European Azerbaijan Centre based in Münster, with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
