By the instruction of the Armenian lobby in Connecticut, members of the local House of Representatives Edwin Vargas and William Petty submitted a draft resolution 00009 calling on the organization to recognize the remnants of the illegal separatist regime established in the Khankendi, occupied by Armeni , the so-called Artsakh Republic.
As a sign of protest, the United Nations’ Azerbaijanis Network (USAN) has launched a letter campaign.
The letter states that the bill misrepresents the truth about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. It was reported in detail that Armenia has occupied Azerbaijani territories and encouraged the illegal activities of the separatist regime Artsakh in violation of international law, as well as US national interests and foreign policy. It was noted that despite the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity as a result of the defeat and capitulation of the Armenian army in November 2020, the Armenian lobby is still biased in the US legislature, hoping to protect its image and justify the donations it receives from donors.
USAN calls on our compatriots to provide detailed information to the elected officials and to condem the bill by sending letters to the House of Representatives of Connecticut.
