The most influential Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten and an online news portal published an article entitled "Information of Norwegian media about Nagorno-Karabakh is missing and superficial."
Ramil Aliyev, chairman of the Oslo Azerbaijani House in Norway, coordinator of the Coordination Council of Scandinavian Azerbaijanis on Norway, and Khadija Luk, chairwoman of the main organization of the Turkish Association in Norway, wrote a joint article which provides detailed information on the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the events that took place after the September 27 attack of the occupying Armenian army on Azerbaijan.
The authors stress that although the Norwegian media has played an important role in covering the conflict, there is still a need to raise awareness.
"We see that pro-Armenian sources are used more than others. There is also a tendency to criticize Armenia's claims less".
The authors call on the Norwegian government to put political pressure on Yerevan and demand the implementation of four UN resolutions in order to achieve a just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict:
