The head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Egypt, researcher-scientist Seymur Nasirov and Egyptian journalist Hussein Khudeyr published articles on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the Egyptian press.
Nasirov gave detailed information about the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia. He noted that in accordance with international law, the Azerbaijani army responded to the large-scale attack of the occupying Armenian army on September 27. Azerbaijan exercises the rights of self-defense, liberation of its lands and restoration of territorial integrity.
Husem Khudeyr wrote that he visited Azerbaijan in the 1990s and visited Baku, Lankaran and Aghdam regions. The Egyptian journalist noted that Armenia has occupied Azerbaijani lands, pursuing a policy of ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijanis in violation of human rights and stressed that the killings of Azerbaijanis, especially the elderly, women and children, were documented and he took these pictures himself.
The journalist said that for almost 30 years Armenia has not fulfilled its international obligations to liberate the occupied Azerbaijani lands, and the OSCE Minsk Group has not yet made any progress towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
