On July 24, a protest action was held in New York against the military provocations of the Armenian armed forces on the state border in the direction of the Tovuz region of our country and the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by this aggressor country.
The first action organized by the Azerbaijan-New York Association was held in front of the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN. About 150 of our compatriots took part in the protest. Among them were Azerbaijanis living in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Virginia.
The rally began with a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs who died heroically on the Tovuz front, and the national anthem of Azerbaijan. "Put an end to Armenia’s occupational policy!" “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!", “Armenia, be off from Azerbaijan!”, “Armenians, you are guilty of genocide "," Armenians are baby killers! ", “Armenia is a terrorist! During the action, a bus with a Led screen reflecting the map of Azerbaijan, historical facts about the realities of Karabakh and slogans “Put an end to Armenia’s occupational policy!" moved in front of the UN office.
During the day, the bus moved through Brooklyn and Manhattan, as well as areas densely populated by Armenians, attracting the attention of New Yorkers.
The event ended with the chanting of the slogan "Martyrs will not die, the motherland will not be divided" and the national anthem of Azerbaijan.
Then members of the Azerbaijani community marched and continued the next protest in front of the Armenian Consulate in New York.
Our compatriots holding the national flags of Azerbaijan, Turkey and the United States stood on the street opposite the small Armenian community.
During the rally Azerbaijanis strongly protested against Armenia's military provocations and occupation policy chanting slogans "Armenia is an aggressor!", "Pashinyan is a terrorist!", "Karabakh is ours and will be ours!", "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!", "Long live Azerbaijan!", "Shame on Armenia!", "Martyrs will not die, the homeland will not be divided!" "Justice for Khojaly!" "Shoot, go trench, Azerbaijani soldier!" and words "Azerbaijan!", "Karabakh!", "Azerbaijan-Turkey!", "General Hashimov", "Mubariz Ibrahimov" continuously.
