Video conferences with leaders and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora operating in different countries continue at the initiative of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The next video conference was organized with the participation of leaders and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the capital and a number of regions of Russia.
Virtual event was attended by Alakbar Garayev, a member of the Russian Bar Association, a lawyer living in Moscow, Chingiz Isayev, chairman of the National-Cultural Autonomy of Perm Azerbaijanis, Azad Seyidov, chairman of the “Birlik” National-Cultural Autonomy of Surgut Azerbaijanis, Niftulla Niftullayev, head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Kurgan region, Aladdin Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of Zabaykalsk Krai, Rafael Guliyev and Arshad Khankishiyev, Chairmen of “Ozan” and “Azerbaijan” Public Organizations of Chelyabinsk Region, Elshan Aghayev, Chairman of “Birlik” Azerbaijan Regional Public Organization in Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansisk Autonomous Okrug, Arzu Ismayilov, head of “Azerbaijanis” regional public organization, Ruslan Guliyev, Tural Safarov, Zaur Ramazanov, responsible associates of the State Committee.
During the discussions, attention was focused on the problems faced by our compatriots during the pandemic. Diaspora leaders called on our compatriots not to leave their permanent or temporary residences and not to assemble on the Russian-Azerbaijani border until the borders are opened.
It is stressed in the conference that, there is a need to open new consulates in the regions of Russia and participants exchanged views on the importance of establishing coordination councils of Azerbaijanis in federal districts and other issues.
In conclusion, the importance of such meetings was emphasized and it was noted that it would be expedient to hold them on a regular basis.
