The next video conference was organized with the Integration Center of Georgian Azerbaijanis (ICGA) at the initiative of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. The conference was held at the theme "Challenges, solutions and future perspectives due to the COVID-19 pandemic."
Virtual event was attended by Elshad Aliyev, Executive Director of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, Anar Rasulov, Head of the department of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Aygul Isayeva, Executive Director of the ICGA, Murad Muradov, Chairman of the ICGA Board and Project Coordinator, Fatma Aliyeva, teacher of Azerbaijani language and literature, Leyla Babayeva, Georgian language and literature teacher, Musa Omraov, logic and mathematics teacher, Mahammad Aslanov, English language teacher, Nargiz Nabiyeva, history teacher, Hafiza Gasimova, preschool teacher.
During the discussions, the sides exchanged views on the current situation in Georgia, problems in education and teaching, online learning opportunities. It was noted that after the end of extraordinary situation and the abolition of the quarantine regime, it is possible to restore education in the ICGA by following the rules of social distance. It was decided to restore online teaching of logic and mathematics in order to support applicants preparing for entrance exams to universities .
It should be noted that, ICGA started operating in the Marneuli region of Georgia on April 3, 2019 with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. Last year, 16 students of the center were accepted to Georgian universities under the "1 + 4" program.
