A video conference was organized with the participation of the heads of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in Germany at the initiative of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
Virtual conference was attended by Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijanis Alliance of Germany (AAG) Yashar Musayev, Executive Director Gurban Mammadov, heads of some diaspora organizations - Chairwoman of the German-Azerbaijani Intellectuals Union Naiba Shirinova, Chairman of the Munich Azerbaijanis Cultural Center Sattar Karimov, head of “Alm.Az” society Aghahuseyn Babayev, chairman of the Bridge of Sound Society, composer Khadija Zeynalova, chairwoman of the German-Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Upper Saxony Lala Mammadli, chairman of the German-Azerbaijani Friendship Society Emil Hasanov, as well as State Committee officials Salhat Abbasova and Zaur Salmanov.
Chairman of the Board of AAG Yashar Musayev gave detailed information about the problems faced by our compatriots due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the work done to solve them. During the discussions, the participants thanked for the material and moral support provided by the Azerbaijani state and leadership to our compatriots living abroad and temporarily in a difficult situation in social isolation. The prompt response of the State Committee to the appeals of our compatriots was stressed specially.
There was a wide exchange of views on the activities of diaspora organizations operating in Germany during the quarantine and post-pandemic periods and the planned measures. Diaspora leaders made their proposals on May 28 - Republic Day, which marks the anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first secular democratic state in the Muslim East.
In the end, it was stated that it is necessary to hold discussions via video conferences.
