Assistance was provided to low-income families with the support of our compatriots living abroad. As part of the support campaign, on the basis of a list determined on Baku and the Absheron region, low-income families and single people over the age of 65 were provided with food assistance.
During the campaign, which helped 170 families, Diasporpress information center staff provided residents with information on how to protect themselves from the COVID-19 pandemic and stay at home.
The persons who were helped expressed their gratitude for the attention and care shown to them during the quarantine days.
The support campaign was supported by activists of the Belgium Azerbaijanis Cultural Center, our compatriots living in Belgium and the Netherlands, the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Kiev, the Azerbaijan-Ukraine International Alliance, “Ana Vatan” Netherlands Women's Society, the Solikamsk Azerbaijanis community and the Azerbaijan-America Women's Society.
It should be noted that, it is planned to continue the support campaign during the period of social isolation related with the COVID-19 pandemic.
