The Swedish Institute of International Affairs hosted a seminar on "Views on foreign policy of the country in 2020". At the seminar, our diaspora was represented by the Chairman of the Sweden Azerbaijanis Congress (SAC) Emil Mirzoyev and a member of the board, press secretary Ulviya Yutenaas. Minister of Foreign Affairs Ann Christin Linde and other officials delivered speech at the event.
It should be noted that, the SAC works closely with the organization, participating in all seminars of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, as well as in group meetings on ethnic minorities and diaspora. The Swedish Institute of International Affairs, founded in 1938, operates as an independent agency. The agency serves as a platform for research and information on foreign affairs and international relations.
Emil Mirzayev also said that the SAC had sent a letter to the Speaker of the Parliament of the country Andreas Norlin about the Khojaly genocide. It was mentioned in the letter that on the night of February 25-26, 1992, the Armenian armed forces attacked Khojaly, killed civilians brutally and tortured, captured them and committed other horrors.
