Azerbaijani culture was presented in Lviv

The opening ceremony of Azerbaijani Culture Days was held in Lviv, Ukraine.
The event was organized by the Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine International Alliance Elmar Mammadov with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The ceremony was attended by local government representatives, our compatriots living in Lviv and local residents.
Elmar Mammadov said that the purpose of these days is to promote Azerbaijani culture and art, to introduce our rich literary and cultural heritage to Ukrainians. It was noted that a number of events dedicated to our history, literature and music will be held in Ukraine within the Azerbaijani Culture Days.
The event featured poems by prominent Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadaddin Nasimi. The singer of Azerbaijan Aytac Vidadi sang national songs and composer songs, the collective of local song and dance ensemble performed.
A number of participants were presented with appreciation letters from the Azerbaijan-Ukraine International Alliance.
Within the framework of the event, the director of the Banking University of the Lviv educational- scientific institute Irina Jerebilo and the Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine International Alliance Elmar Mammadov signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The aim is to study Azerbaijani students at higher education institution that provides training in the banking system and to co-operate in holding events about our country.
