The 6th Forum of Young Azerbaijani Doctors and Medical Students was held in Ankara

Innovations in Azerbaijan's health was highlighted at the 6th Ankara Medical Forum "Towards becoming an examplary doctor" in the capital of Turkey.
The forum, organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Turkey, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Association of Azerbaijani Physicians was attended by doctors and medical students from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The event hosted by the Ankara City Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Turkey, which includes an official part, panels and artistic part, lasted two days.
The official part of the event began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Then the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey Khazar Ibrahim, Education Advisor of the Embassy Najiba Nasibova, Head of Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Shamil Ayrim, Director of the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan
Kahraman Hagverdiyev, Head Doctor of the Central Clinical Hospital Kamran Musayev, Head of the Association of Azerbaijani Physicians Farid Gasimzade, Member of the Board of Higher Education Institution of the Presidential Administration of Turkey, Zeliha Kochak Tufan, Coordinator of Ankara City Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Turkey, Chief Physician Aziz Ahmed Sural and others delivered speeches. Azerbaijan's recent achievements in the field of health and education, the opportunities of hospitals with new and modern equipment, and the successful results of cooperation with Turkey were mentioned in the speeches.
Panels at the Forum covered "Innovations in Azerbaijan's healthcare system and medical education", "Proposals and solutions for problems of Azerbaijani doctors studying and working in Turkey", "Research and publications in medicine", "Job and career opportunities for specialist physicians in Azerbaijan", “Exemplary medicine in the eyes of artists and athletes”, “Education and career opportunities abroad” and other important topics.
The first day of the forum was held on the occasion of 31 December - the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Valeh Hajiyev and the Chairman of the AAF Farid Gasimzade delivered speeches.
Valeh Hajiyev spoke about the importance of the December 31 - Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis, which gained a decent place on our calendar as a result of the initiative and efforts of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and emphasized the comprehensive development of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Expressing his gratitude on behalf of the State Committee to the AAP leadership, the speaker said that it is praiseworthy that Azerbaijani doctors work in different countries around the world, including Turkey.
Farid Gasimzade sincerely congratulated participants on the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and noted that the organization led by him calls for solidarity for all Azerbaijanis at all events.
Throughout the ceremony, a video on the modern development of Azerbaijan, the beauty and historical monuments of our country, and a short film "The Motherland is not far" dovoted on the Azerbaijani diaspora had been shown on the screen.
Issue 3 of the “Azerbaijan-Turkey” magazine, published at the initiative and with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan was distributed to the participants.
People's artist of Azerbaijan Azer Zeynalov and world champion in track and field athletics Ramil Guliyev delivered speeches in the panel "Exemplary medicine in the eyes of artists and athletes”.
Then the closing ceremony and award ceremony were held.
