A series of events were organized to mark the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh

A series of events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani writer Mirza Jalil Mammadguluzadeh were held in Tbilisi.
The events were held with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, initiative of the Azerbaijani Council of Elders of Georgia and organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Georgia. Firstly, the participants visited the bust of the national leader Heydar Aliyev at the park named after Heydar Aliyev in Tbilisi and laid flowers at the monument. Then the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Dursun Hasanov, representatives of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Sabit Mammadov and Nariman Aliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijani Council of Elders of Georgia Isak Novruzov and members of the Council visited the home museum of the writer in Tbilisi.
The next event on the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was held at the National Library of Georgia. The scientific conference dedicated to the life and work of the great writer was held in the library. The event was attended by Ambassador Dursun Hasanov, representatives of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Sabit Mammadov and Nariman Aliyev, Deputy of the Parliament of Georgia Mahir Darziyev, Head of apparatus of the Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tina Gogeliani, Azerbaijani and Georgian students, representatives of the city council, as well as the media.
The event began with a video reflecting the life and activity of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh. Professor Mahmud Kamaloglu, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Council of Elders of Georgia Isak Novruzov, Ambassador Dursun Hasanov spoke on the life and work of the writer and mentioned that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.
Events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh ended with the "Madmen meeting" spectacle by the actor staff of Ganja State Drama Theater in State Academic Russian Drama Theater in Tbilisi.
