An interesting concert was organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Georgia on October 21 at the Integration Center of Georgian Azerbaijanis in Marneuli.
The concert was dedicated to the 18th of October - the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Ambassador Dursun Hasanov spoke at the event and thanked First Vice- President Mehriban Aliyeva for her support to the concert.
Then the governor of Kvemo Kartli region, Shota Rekhvashvili, head of apparatus of State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tina Gogeliani, a member of the Georgian Parliament, Mahir Darziyev and others delivered speeches and congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion.
An interesting concert program was presented to the participants of the event. Performances by the "Rhythm Group" and other musicians were welcomed with applause. Azerbaijani folk and composer songs, national music and jazz have impressed the local residents.
A large number of Azerbaijanis arrived from the capital Tbilisi and Rustavi, as well as the neighboring Bolnisi, Gardabani and Dmanisi districts.
