The presentation of the International Volunteer Scheme - the UN Volunteers Program was held at the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The presentation was attended by representatives of the UN Office in Azerbaijan and 19 state agencies of our country.
It should be noted that, the UN Volunteers program covers thousands of people and every year more than 6500 UN volunteers work in different parts of the world, in the most difficult situations. 12,000 volunteers of the United Nations implement more than 20,000 tasks via the UN online volunteer service. Among the members of the UN Volunteers project there are also Azerbaijanis living abroad.
The ways and opportunities of cooperation with the UN Volunteers Program were discussed at the presentation of the Volunteers Program at the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. Project Manager Kiyoun Kim and Head of the Departament of International Relations and Protocol of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Vugar Mammadov gave detailed information about the program and discussed opportunities for cooperation.
