Representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Kharkiv Regional State Administration and Sumy Regional Council, parliament members of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, prominent figures of culture, art, diaspora and media participated in the event initiated by the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv.
Honorary consul of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv Afghan Salmanov congratulated on December 31 – The Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year and spoke about the unreplaceable services of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the establishment of an independent Azerbaijan state and the unification of the world azerbaijanis around national ideology. He noted that the Great Leader united more than 50 million compatriots living in different countries of the world around the national ideology of Azerbaijanism, laying down the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis 27 years ago. Honorary consul noted that the ideology of Heydar Aliyev has been successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev and stressed that Azerbaijan has a great way of development and has become the owner of its material and moral values in recent years.
Chairman of Sumy Regional Rada Vladimir Tokar, member of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Medunitsa, member of Milli Majlis Rufat Guliyev, deputy chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Faig Guliyev, representative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Samir Allahverdiyev and diaspora leaders delivered speeches and spoke about the historical friendship relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The roundtable on the perspectives of scientific and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine was held at the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkov in the framework of event. The event was attended by heads of several institutions in Kharkiv and Sumy. The participants exchanged views on expanding of relations in science, culture and humanitarian spheres between the two countries.
