The Azerbaijani community living in the city of Houston, Texas organized a peaceful protest in front of the Houston City Hall against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Azerbaijani territories, temporary controlled by the Russian peacekeeping contingent.  The Azerbaijani diaspora activists also protested Armenia’s policy of environmental terrorism.

The protest action was intended to express solidarity and support with the ongoing peaceful protests organized by Azerbaijani eco-activists and civil society representatives on the Lachin-Khankendi road.

The protestors chanted slogans such as “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”, “Stop Armenian terrorists!”, “Stop plundering of Azerbaijan’s natural resources!”, “Stop Armenian ecocide!”.

The protesters informed local residents about Armenia’s ecological crimes committed against Azerbaijan.
