American Jewish Committee congratulated the State Committee on the occasion of the 20th anniversary20 June, 2022
David Harris, Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), congratulated the State Committee on Work with Diaspora on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Committee.
AJC Executive Director's letter addressed to Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee, states that his organization attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan and cooperation with the State Committee.
Honorable Mr. Muradov,
It is a great pleasure to congratulate you, your team and Azerbaijani diaspora around the world on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the establishment of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan,
We attach great value to the fact that no country in the Eurasian region has as close strategic relations with Israel as Azerbaijan. The tradition of friendship and trust-based cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel is an example of a true international partnership. In the most difficult times, these countries have always been together and supported each other. And we highly appreciate that more than 16,000 Jews in Azerbaijan live in the conditions of mutual respect and harmony with the people of Azerbaijan, contributing to the culture, economy, and development of the country.
For many years, during our visits to Azerbaijan and cooperation with the State Committee, we have seen that diverse ethnic communities in Azerbaijan actively participating in the socio-political life, help strengthen the country's unity and present Azerbaijani culture to the world community. The principles of this policy, which is a priority of the Azerbaijani government, are being successfully implemented through the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
I appreciate the Committee's efforts to unite and coordinate Azerbaijanis around the world, look forward to joint projects on global issues and international cooperation, and wish you success in your noble mission.
